E-max

We closely follow the latest treatment approaches to protect and restore your jaw, oral and dental health and to make it look aesthetic and beautiful.

E-max is one of the materials used in dental restorations. It is made of lithium disilicate, a type of glass-ceramic known for its durability and flexibility. This results in aesthetic looking and functional restorations.

E-max crown production and application has very basic steps. However, it is at the forefront with its higher mechanical strength, durability and excellent light transmission than other materials. It also allows extensive customization in terms of color, shape and size, ensuring a perfect match with the patient’s existing teeth.

What is E-Max?

E-max or IPS e.max is a dental restorative material system. Due to its combination of superior aesthetics and durability, it produces highly successful results for dental veneers, crowns, inlays, onlays and bridges. Therefore, it is frequently preferred.

These restorations are made of lithium disilicate, a type of glass-ceramic characterized by high mechanical strength, durability and excellent light transmission. This high-quality material ensures that it is both strong and aesthetically high-performing and closely matches the natural appearance of the patient’s teeth.

Procedures with this material offer a very high resemblance to natural teeth. Lithium disilicate can mimic the translucency and color of natural tooth enamel. Therefore, the result of the procedure is indistinguishable from other teeth. However, E-maxes are strong enough to withstand the forces of biting and chewing in the back of the mouth. They are biocompatible, meaning they are unlikely to cause allergic reactions or irritation to surrounding tissues.

How is an E-Max Crown Made?

The process of making an e-max crown begins with the first dental appointment, where the dentist prepares the tooth for the crown and takes an impression. This impression serves as a blueprint for the crown, which will be custom-made in a dental laboratory to fit perfectly on the prepared tooth. In the light of the measurements taken, 3D tooth design is made and the crown production process begins.

– First, the shape of the crown will be created from a solid lithium disilicate ceramic tooth block using computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques.

– Then, stages such as polishing and glazing of the crown are completed. Thus, the crown is ready to be applied to the patient.

– The crown, which has completed the laboratory phase, is placed in the area by the dentist and the application is completed.

As a result, E-max crowns are the combination of aesthetics and durability in dental restorations. They offer both a visually appealing and functional solution, allowing patients to enjoy a radiant smile without compromising oral health. This product is frequently preferred in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
